Techie

The cards look great, and the little text too :) I would love to add holograms tho (nah i'm joking) huhu!
Here's the techie sketch, inspired by Vic's char and with the jetpack!

Update! New legs and colors!

Finished! :)

Finished finished ... i swear !

The Rabble Rouser

We've been neglecting this guy so far, so here's a sketch! Gonna paint him tomorrow. BTW, he's supposed to be a meerkat.

Da Border!

Hey, here's my rework of Clo's border. Tried to make it more eighties and emphasize the focus on the chars. Hologram idea was really cool, but I don't think it's gonna work on screen, it looks too busy, eats the characters and looks kinda photoshoppy/tacky (in the bad way, not in the good-eighties way :P).

Proposition for the final cards

I used the sketches already posted but it's mostly to see how it would look.

Time is too short!

Hey team mates!
Only one week left, we're kind of late.
Don't you think we should decide now about what we keep or not and begin the final designs?

I wish we had more time...

About the background for the final pictures, Vic had the idea of a common background divided in 6, then we thought about make a frame as if it was game cards.
Of course, rodents in the 80's deserve holographic framing in my opinion.

Today I searched ideas for the background itself, so I put them here, you'll tell me...

Saturday night fever dance floor
neon graffitis
old school video game stage
vehicle, ship, team HQ
pin ball
disco ball
juke box
stickers

==> the HQ could be an old pin ball machine (the idea of neon light and funky set up can be explored in the design of the pinball, and it mostly fits to their size)

(square boards, ramp, buttons, lights, spring, reflections, jackpot stickers...) they could have set up their little couch, hamac, match box to sleep in, etc.
The tech could be trying to fix the pinball.

I like this idea, but i'm not sure about the dead line, maybe we should go for something more simple... The stickers and neon types is maybe easier, something less realistic. Though, a nice set up could totally add to the charisma of our little team...

Anyway, if you like it we could give it a try, so i've checked some ref. I'll post more later, depending of what we decide.

Have fun guys! :)

yo yo

Just a couple of things - protector as some kind of street hockey player, and an idea for how the hero shows her 'dark' side. Basically just working from everyone else's amazing ideas!

Finally found a decent idea, thanks Vic! :)

Noticed that there is only 2 weeks left !! :O

Edit : The Shadow ! (My good fairy gave me the Grease hairstyle idea! :P)

And hero :

The sage... not sure

I can't decide what animal fits the most to that character. Also, it's pretty hard to look wise and credible while you wear 80's clothes !

Loved your sketches Fed and Vic! :)

The whole gang!

Here are some of my pretty basic sketches. In the vertical images the ones at the top are older and the ones at the bottom are more recent, in the horizontal ones older sketches are on the left, newer versions are on the right.
I drew all of the characters but I'm not happy about all of them, especially the rabble rouser doesn't really do it for me yet.
